Secure in Insecurities?

I was listening to a song the other day called " Dark but Lovely" and one of the lines hit me hard. It said,
" Though I'm dark, You say I am lovely. Though I'm poor You say, I am beautiful." And I think how many times I fret over petty things like clothing and such. And how many times I complain to Jesus about all the mistakes I've made and how much I mess up. Eventually, He said, " STOP! Do I not know you better than you yourself?" It was intense. I mean, here I am telling Him how I should be. He knows all about me...all of who I really am. He will form me into who I am supposed to be-- I just have to let him.
So much insecurity nowadays, lies in that concept. We're constantly trying to live by the standards of the world. Whether it be clothing, or in what we watch, or what we say. As Christians, the only standard we should be living by is what God says in His word. It should be the law we follow daily and strive to follow. After all, things of this world will fade away. Who are we trying to please? The only One we should try to please is Jesus.
If everyone came into agreement with what HE says about us, surely, all this insecurity would vanish. If only we were confident in who we are as His bride...as His people. Do we not have enough faith to even know who we are?
Sometimes, I think, people are too secure in the their insecurities. They have forgotten who they are. We are the people of God. We listen to what the enemy would make us believe we are instead of what  our Creator is declaring we are. And , one cannot listen to both. You can only serve one master.
Part of destiny is learning who You truly are. And how does one do that? Ask the One who created them. For He knows everything about you down to the last detail.

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."-- Matt. 2: 28-34

" Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." -- Matt. 10: 28-30

"You turn things upside down,as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!
Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”?
Can the pot say to the potter,“You know nothing”?" " -- Isaiah 29:16

"No longer will they call you Deserted,or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah;for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married." -- Isaiah 62:4 (Hephzibah means my delight is in her;Beulah means married.)

"I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys." --Song of Solomon 2:1
